We get this question all the time , " who is Daisy and who is Pat? " so it makes the MOST sense to tell you guys all about it in quick Storytime! We have also added a reel at the end for you to listen if you prefer! Okay let's get to it, Storytime! How did we pick the name Daisy & Pat?
What made you choose the name Daisy & Pat?
I sat in my Moms kitchen 2 months into starting Abbicreates studio and said " I want to start a second business/brand and I want it to be connected to the family somehow". I come from an unbelievably LARGE family with my mom being a sibling of 9, each aunt and uncle have children and those children have children.. so i'm sure you can imagine how insane family gatherings are!
My mom and her siblings came from absolutely nothing in Jamaica, and they all immigrated to the UK as kids. From here each one of them were able to build successful lives for themselves and I couldn't be more proud of their accomplishments. unfortunately my grandmother passed away shortly after having her last child, and so all of my family members were raised by my great grandmother and my grandfather. She went by the name "Aunt Daisy". A strong powerful black woman help raise 9 children into amazing successful adults. Her strength and diligence is something I wanted to embody throughout the growth of this business.
Another person who has always been there and helped me achieve all of my success, thats my mom, and she goes by Pat.
so there you have it two minority, immigrant women who are the fuel to the existence of Daisy and Pat & Abbicreates Studio!
